About this tool

Counting days across months is genuinely awkward: month lengths vary, February moves, and it is easy to be off by one depending on whether you count the start day itself. Yet the answer matters in ordinary situations — notice periods, project deadlines, visa durations, rental agreements, interest accrual, countdowns to an exam or a wedding. This calculator gives the difference in days, in whole weeks with a remainder, and in months and days, so you can use whichever framing your situation calls for. The working-days option excludes Saturdays and Sundays, which is what you want for delivery estimates, billing periods and contractual notice measured in business days. Everything is calculated in your browser, so nothing you enter is recorded.

Frequently Asked Questions

It excludes Saturdays and Sundays only. Public holidays vary by country and are not deducted.

Can I use dates in the past?

+

Yes. Any two dates work, in either order.
