About Clixotools
Clixotools is a collection of small, free web tools for the everyday jobs that sit between having a file and being able to use it. Merging a few PDFs before a submission, shrinking a scan so an upload form accepts it, counting the words in an essay, working out what a loan actually costs, generating a password that is not a variation of your dog's name. None of these deserve a subscription, an installed application or an account, and yet that is usually what you are asked for.
So the rules here are simple. Every tool is free. Nothing asks you to register. Nothing adds a watermark. And wherever it is technically possible, the work happens inside your own browser rather than on a server, which means your documents are not uploaded anywhere at all.
How the tools work
Modern browsers are capable of a great deal more than they are usually asked to do. Files can be read, rewritten and downloaded without ever crossing a network. That is how the PDF tools here operate: the document is loaded into the page, modified by JavaScript running on your machine, and handed straight back to you as a download. The practical consequences are that the tools are fast, they work on flaky connections, they have no queue, and the contents of your files remain genuinely private because they never leave your device.

How the site is funded
Clixotools is supported by advertising displayed alongside the content. That is what keeps the tools free to use without accounts, quotas or paid tiers. Ads are kept out of the tool interfaces themselves so they never interrupt what you came to do. You can read how advertising and analytics handle data on our privacy policy page.
